Straight Knives

Our straight knives are all hand made right here in mission. All blade tangs are fully encased in epoxy resin and will never come out. They are 15 to 20 degree total bevel angle, hand sharpened and tested on yellow cedar. They are ideal for carving all soft woods.

These straight carving knives are used for V cuts, beveling corners, flattening stock, roughing convex shapes and making detail cuts.

These straight knives are amazing wood carving tools and come razor sharp with a flat bevel.

The single edged, double beveled (beveled on both sides of the blade) wood carving knives are generally for V cuts, following lines and marking details while the spear point double edged single beveled wood carving knives are more for flattening, whittling in either direction to easily follow the grain and removing stock. They are both great for Scandinavian plain carving, blocking out shapes and leave a wonderfully smooth surface finish.

The spear point knives all come in double edge, single bevel and are mounted flush with the side of the handle. All other knives come in single edge, double bevel and are mounted down the center of the handle.
